Thomas Allen was a farmer.
In the 1860 census for Fairmount Twp., Pike Co., IL, a Joseph Allen is living
with the family of Thomas Allen.


17. Amy Margret Green

some sources refer to her as Amy C. Green or Amy C. Allen or Ann C. Green.


18. Finis Lowery Hobbs

Lowery is a Pike Co. family and Finis Lowery Hobbs is likely a descendant of
this family. They had or have a funeral home.

Finis Lowery Hobbs died at the age of 21, "killed by a horse", leaving no
possibility of more than the one child, Emily Josephine Hobbs.

Leonard T. Gratton (with his wife, Mary D. Hobbs, who was the aunt of Emily)
was the first guardian of Emily Josephine Hobbs.

Lewis H. Baldwin (with his wife, Maria Jane Elledge, who was the grandaunt of
Emily) was the second guardian of Emily Josephine Hobbs.

John G. White (with his wife, Emily J. Elledge, who was the aunt of Emily)
was the third guardian of Emily Josephine Hobbs. John was the brother of
William H. White, the second husband of Emily's mother (m. 7 May 1872 when
Emily was already 15 years old).

Mary Margaret Hobbs married 2nd, 15 years after the death of her 1st husband,
William H. White in Pike Co., IL -- apparently moved to Kansas

Mary's 1st husband, Finis Lowery Hobbs, died at the age of 21 leaving no
possibility of more than the one child, Emily Josephine Hobbs.

Leonard T. Gratton (with his wife, Mary D. Hobbs, who was the aunt of Emily)
was the first guardian of Emily Josephine Hobbs.

Christopher C. Shore homesteaded with a patent on NE 1/4 Section 22,
Palestine Twp, Sumner Co, KS, which is one mile north of Whitman.

His Father's name was spelled SCHOR and his Grandfather's name was spelled
SCHORR.

may have been daughter of Samuel & Martha Mitchell, who had at least 6 children


24. Daniel Belford

Farmer. On the 1870 census for Houston Twp., Adams Co., IL, Daniel lived
just two houses from a Robert Belford family. As was the case with Daniel and
his wife Jane, Robert Belford and his wife were natives of Ireland and had lived
in PA and then in IL. The two men differed in age by about 6 years.

They resided Cleveland, OH 1859

Robert Findlay and Mary Williams were married 17 Jan 1854 in Montreal,
